In 1974, Hector de la Mora left a
position as a First Assistant District Attorney for Milwaukee County and
entered into private practice in downtown Milwaukee. Thereafter, he moved
his offices to Elm Grove. In 1984, his wife, Linda, joined the practice
and the law firm of de la Mora & de la Mora was founded.
For many years the firm has had a
strong reputation in the municipal law field because it serves as the municipal
attorney for the Villages of Elm Grove, Butler, Lannon, Hartland and Lac La
Belle, Wisconsin. This expertise has been extended by the firm into the field
of condominium association representation where there are many overlapping
legal similarities.
The firm also has served as
outside special counsel to a variety of entities when condominium associations,
police departments, school districts, municipalities and small business
concerns have had the need to retain the services of an outside law firm to
undertake a single project engagement involving a sensitive legal matter which
cannot be handled using the normal arrangements in place.
Complementing the growth of the
firm’s practice with organizations of various types, de la Mora & de
la Mora has greatly expanded the services it provides to individuals as our
Areas of Practice
indicates.
Over the years, the firm has
grown to four attorneys and includes a second office in Delafield that was
established to serve western Waukesha County clients. Although the firm
has grown, the lawyers at de la Mora & de la Mora continue to emphasize the
qualities on which the firm was founded: concern for the
client, integrity, knowledge and
skill.
